ex- The Sahara desert is the largest hot desert in the world.


Desert as a verb means to leave someone without permission.


Ex - He would never desert his friends in a time of need.


Dessert with two 'S' is a noun.

It means a sweet course, such as cake, ice-cream, typically served at the end of a meal.


Ex- For dessert, we had chocolate ice-cream.
