Bread vs Bred : meaning and difference.

In case of sound they sound exactly same. But in case of spelling and meaning they are different. 
The words are bread and bred.

So bread with an 'a' in it means a food that is a baked dough made from flour and water.

Ex - I am going to the supermarket to buy a loaf od bread.

But bred without an 'a' is the past form of the verb breed. It means the reproduction of animals, the way someone was raised.

Ex - She was born and bred in Canada.
