What if you remove the 'k' from "Block" ?

Do you know what is the meaning of Block ?

Yes, you might have blocked some unknown number in yiur smartphone. 

So block means to create a barrior to disrupt the connection between two or more things.

But if you remove the letter 'k'  from it, what will happen ? 

The sound will remain same but it will adopt new meaning.

This will mean a group of people specially who are in politics,  economics or international relations. It can also refer to the people who are powerful or influencial.

Ex- The European Union is a powerful trading bloc.

But the block can be used as a noun and as a verb too.

Example as a noun - I live just one block away from the park.
